I agree with Carol. I have Net10 too, and I love my qwerty keyboard phone. The bonus is awesome though, because since I just got it, I get the first 2 months of service and 300 minutes for free. I'm very happy with my choice.

I went with Net10 and I'm saving a fortune compared to being on a contract! My calls cost me 10c per minute and my texts 5c each. There are no hidden charges, no roaming fees and no nasty bills at the end of the month. AND, bonus, my phone came with 300 free minutes already loaded in it!!

PlatinumTel Wireless is a prepaid provider that offers valuable plans and unlike some other providers don’t have roaming fees (which can really add up in areas where the network isn’t available.) Their unlimited monthly talk/text plan is just $50, and for just $10 more includes unlimited mobile web with high speed EVDO service available. For those who need less, they also offer a pay as you go plan for as little as $5 monthly.

I downgraded to the cheapest plan my contract provider offers. My total charges including tax are $31 and a few cents. For this I get 100 daytime minutes and 500 nighs and weekends minutes. When I say goodbye to my contract in two months I'll be getting Net10 prepaid. Here's what I will be getting: 200 minutes for $20. That works out to 10 cents a minute. It also works out for me because I don't use my cell phone when I get home at night. If I want to text, it's 3 cents per text. And if I want to make international calls, it's 15 cents a call to over 60 international destinations including the UK, Australia and China. I checked them out just to see. And when I sign up, I'll get 300 free minutes with the first two months of service. Net10, Metro PCS, T-Mobile, whatever, prepaid is the way to go. There are so many choices, why would anybody want a contract? My son uses his Blackberry with his Metro PCS plan and there are prepaid providers out there offering unlimited everything under the sun for under $50. One plan I read about even has unlimited 411 calls.
