Money maker S o far the massive amount of spending and credit creation by governments around the world has not shown up in rampant inflation, but we are seeing a couple of early warning signs leading up to today’s release of Canada’s consumer price index. Yesterday, Britain reported that consumer prices soared 2.9 per cent on a year-over-year basis, up from 1 per cent in November. The Bank of England’s target rate is 2 per cent.
